Wow. It’s probably been several weeks since you were first introduced to Word. Now you’re starting to see the scope of the program and an idea of how to use it. You’re also starting to feel more comfortable around your computer, and seeing it as less and less of the enemy that it may have looked before you starting reading this book. You may even be having fun with it.

You probably want to find out even more about Word. In this section, we’ll move past the basics and begin to learn stuff most people didn’t know existed – and guess what? It’s all EASY!

Tabs

So the tabs don’t always work perfectly. Maybe you want to tab to the area between the scratches on the ruler???

The key to customizing the tabs is the ruler. That square to the left of it, and the weird sliders on it all play a part in where your cursor rests when you hit the TAB button. The diagram below explains everything.
